Forearms
The forearms consist of two main muscle groups that facilitate wrist and hand movement. The flexor muscles, including the flexor carpi radialis and flexor digitorum, are located on the anterior side and enable wrist flexion and finger movement. Conversely, the extensor muscles, such as the extensor carpi radialis and extensor digitorum, are found on the posterior side, responsible for wrist extension and straightening the fingers. Together, these muscles allow for a wide range of hand movements, grip strength, and fine motor skills.
