The Lying Leg Raise exercise is a bodyweight exercise that targets the lower abdominal muscles, hip flexors, and quadriceps.
How to perform
Instructions:1. Lie flat on your back on a mat or on the floor with your legs extended and arms by your sides.
2. Engage your core muscles by pressing your lower back into the floor.
3. Lift your legs off the floor by flexing at the hips and bending your knees slightly.
4. Slowly raise your legs towards the ceiling, keeping them straight and vertical.
5. Pause at the top of the movement, then slowly lower your legs back down to the starting position.
6. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
7. To make the exercise more challenging, you can increase the range of motion by lowering your legs closer to the floor without letting them touch or by adding ankle weights.
8. Remember to breathe steadily throughout the exercise and avoid swinging your legs for momentum.
