How to perform

To perform the Standing Hamstring And Calf Stretch With Strap:

1. Begin by standing up straight with your feet hip-width apart. Hold a strap or towel in both hands.

2. Raise your right leg in front of you and place the strap under the arch of your right foot. Keep your knee straight and the left foot flat on the floor.

3. Gently pull on the strap to bring your right leg closer to your chest, feeling a stretch in the back of your right leg (hamstring).

4. Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds, breathing deeply and relaxing into the stretch.

5. Release the strap and switch legs, placing it under the arch of your left foot and repeating the stretch on the other side.

6. After stretching both legs, you can also perform a calf stretch by keeping the strap under the arch of your foot and gently pulling your toes towards you, feeling a stretch in the calf muscle.

7. Hold the calf stretch for 20-30 seconds, then release and switch legs if desired.

8. Repeat the stretches on both sides 2-3 times, gradually increasing the intensity of the stretch as your flexibility improves.

Remember to listen to your body and avoid any pain or discomfort during the stretch. This exercise can be performed as part of a warm-up before exercise or as a cool-down after a workout to help prevent injury and improve overall flexibility.
