The Neck Side Stretch exercise is a simple stretch to help relieve tension in the neck and shoulders.
How to perform
Instructions:1. Begin by sitting or standing up straight with your shoulders relaxed and your arms at your sides.
2. Slowly tilt your head to one side, bringing your ear towards your shoulder until you feel a gentle stretch along the side of your neck.
3. Hold the stretch for 15-30 seconds, focusing on breathing deeply and relaxing the muscles in your neck.
4. Slowly return your head to the center and then repeat the stretch on the other side.
5. Hold the stretch for another 15-30 seconds before returning your head back to the center.
6. Repeat the stretch on each side 2-3 times, or as needed to release tension in the neck and shoulders.
Note: Make sure to always listen to your body and never force the stretch. If you experience any pain or discomfort, stop immediately and consult with a healthcare professional.
