How to perform

To perform the Skin The Cat exercise, follow these steps:

1. Begin by hanging from a pull-up bar or rings with your arms fully extended and your body relaxed.
2. Engage your core muscles and lift your legs off the ground, so that your body forms a straight line from your shoulders to your heels.
3. Slowly tuck your knees towards your chest and initiate the rotation by bringing your legs up and over the bar/rings.
4. Continue to rotate your body backwards, keeping your arms straight and allowing your legs to travel overhead until your body is inverted.
5. Once your body has completed a full circle, reverse the movement by bringing your legs back down and around to return to the starting position.
6. Slowly lower your legs back to the hanging position and extend your arms to finish the repetition.

It is important to maintain control and stability throughout the movement to avoid any swinging or excessive momentum. Make sure to warm up properly before attempting the Skin The Cat exercise and start with small movements to gradually build up strength and flexibility. If you are a beginner, it may be helpful to have a spotter or coach present to assist you and provide guidance.
